Your clients can protect their small businesses with RLI's home-based business policy

Why choose RLI’s home-based business policy?

Do you have a client who runs a small business from home? Your customers are not home free with most homeowners policies, which do not cover liability or damage to property from business activities!

Written on an ISO BOP form, RLI's home-based business insurance program is specifically designed to meet the unique needs of clients with in-home businesses, such as crafters, photographers and hobbyists.

The program features:

  • Up to $1 million in business general liability coverage, both on and off the residence premises
  • Up to $100,000 in business personal property (BPP) limits for protection at home and while temporarily off premises
  • A standard $250 deductible
  • Up to $5,000 per person for medical payments to customers or vendors injured on your premises
  • Optional coverages for money and securities
  • Availability in all states and the District of Columbia, regardless of the carrier providing the homeowner coverage

Who qualifies?

From accounting services to crafts to computer repair services, every policy is quoted and written with the specific business in mind. It is affordable, quick and available for more than 130 unique home-based businesses. Learn more here.
