New Insurance Apprenticeship Program Available from the Greater Cleveland Partnership.

Are you looking for a creative way to develop new talent for your agency and invest in the next generation of Insurance Talent? The Equitable Registered Apprenticeship at Greater Cleveland Partnership is adding career pathways for Greater Clevelanders. GCP announced the news as part of National Apprenticeship Week, Nov. 13 – 19.

The Hub is adding 12 apprenticeships, in areas including IT, insurance and retail banking.

The Hub launched in 2022 when Greater Cleveland Partnership received a $5.8 million grant from the Department of Labor Apprenticeship Building America Act . The grant has enabled GCP to establish a network of innovative Registered Apprenticeships.

These apprenticeships allow industry, workforce and education stakeholders to match career-seekers with in-demand jobs in diverse occupations. The program includes five key elements: progressively increasing wages, on-the-job learning, related instruction, mentorship and an industry-recognized credential.

“Adding more inclusive opportunities through Registered Apprenticeships benefits all Clevelanders,” says Mike Glavin, GCP’s Senior Director of Talent Solutions. “Individuals have even more pathways to success and Greater Cleveland businesses will prosper as talent needs are addressed. We believe great talent needs more innovative and inclusive systems to access development and great careers, and placing equity at the center of our work is essential.”

“No other region has yet approached Registered Apprenticeships in this way,” says Glavin. “The system we’re building has broad applications across multiple employers and industries.”
