OIA is dedicated to building strong relationships with legislators and key state agencies to promote, protect and progress a healthy business environment for independent agents.
Here is a look at our Legislative Priorities for 2023.
OIA has a full-time staff dedicated to building strong relationships with legislators, members of the Ohio General Assembly, the Ohio Department of Insurance and other important state agencies. We advocate on behalf of our members for policies and candidates that improve the insurance marketplace in Ohio.
Our voluntary, non-partisan political action committee invests time and resources that support legislative and judicial candidates. Our PAC works to ensure a positive marketplace for independent agents in the state.
Thank you to our contributors whose support is critical to our continued success.
Our annual goal of $50,000 will strengthen our efforts to promote a strong economy and competitive insurance marketplace in Ohio.
Please note that contributions to OIA PAC are not deductible for income tax purposes. Voluntary political contributions by individuals to OIA PAC should come from personal accounts. Please note that contributions from partnerships, sole proprietorships and unincorporated businesses are acceptable.
OIA members regularly meet with lawmakers and testify on priority legislation. We are actively engaged in a variety of events, such as OIA Advocacy Day at the Ohio Statehouse and the Big “I” Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C.
