Advocacy

On behalf of Ohio’s independent insurance agents, OIA and the OIA PAC promote, progress, and protect the profession. Through continuous dialogue with legislators and regulators, we’re working to enhance the opportunities available to Ohio’s agents by communicating industry priorities and helping to mold public policy.

Insurance for Your Agency

OIA provides access to multiple markets and stable, reputable carriers for errors and omissions coverage (E&O), cyber liability insurance, employment practices liability insurance (EPLI) and umbrella insurance coverage at competitive prices.

Education & CE

In a fast-changing industry, continuing education is key to serving clients effectively. To support our members, we launched a learning portal with live webinars and on-demand courses, making it easy to earn CE credits on their schedule. In May 2025, OIA is expanding its offerings with a property and casualty pre-licensing program for Ohio!

IACON & Events

OIA’s annual conference, IACON, is the biggest event for independent agents in Ohio—bringing together hundreds of insurance professionals and industry partners to share knowledge, resources, strategies, and innovative solutions. Join us for IACON2025!
