Independent agents, insurance carriers and legislators came together at Hosket Ulen Insurance Solutions, a local independent agency in Dublin, for an OIA event to support key leaders in the Ohio House.
Showcasing the Value of IAs
The goal of the event was to build upon relationships with key legislative leaders and showcase the value of independent agents in local communities. State representatives Nathan Manning (R-North Ridgeville), Sarah LaTourette (R-Chesterland), Bill Seitz (R-Cincinnati) and Tom Brinkman (R-Mt. Lookout) attended.
“Being politically engaged is a critical component of OIA’s advocacy efforts on behalf of independent agents,” says Carolyn Mangas, OIA’s Government Affairs Manager. “These members of the Ohio General Assembly understand the value of independent agents and the important role they play to protect consumers and help businesses manage risk.”
The OIA team had a great time networking at the agency’s brand-new offices in the Bridge Street District in Dublin. This event truly showcased our strong relationships with leaders in the Ohio House.
“Events like this are only possible because of members who support OIA’s political action committee,” Mangas says. “The PAC allows members to pool together their financial contributions to support worthy candidates who value the professional advice and guidance only independent agents can provide.”
