Lorain County Community College has created a new fast track Insurance Certificate program. The program can be completed in person or remotely. The program includes three classes, Principles of Insurance which prepares students to pass the licensing exam, Business Communications, and Principles of Selling.

Students who complete the program obtain 9 college credits. The program costs about $1400 for in county residents and $1700 for those residing outside the county. This program could be a valuable part of a new employee training and onboarding program.

This is a great new program for our industry. As we have struggled to get more community colleges to focus on insurance careers, we encourage member agencies to support and help promote this program.
