GAHANNA, OH – Ohio Insurance Agents Association (OIA) hosted their annual holiday dinner and awards ceremony Dec. 4, 2018 in Columbus.
During the awards portion of the evening, OIA presented State Representative Mike Henne (R-Clayton) with an Industry Citation Award. Nominations are accepted from across the entire state and winners are selected by a committee of independent insurance agents.
Rep. Henne was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 2010 and is now in his fourth and final term as the state representative. In addition to serving in public office, Rep. Henne is an independent insurance agent and serves as president of Boord-Henne Agency. He has maintained OIA membership since 2003.
Over the past eight years, Rep. Henne has been a champion for small business on several issues, including: workers’ compensation coverage for Ohio businesses with employees temporarily working in neighboring states, and sponsorship of legislation protect Ohio’s responsible drivers by eliminating the ability of uninsured drivers to collect non-economic damages in the event of a crash.
OIA would like to thank Rep. Henne for his service and dedication to advocating for not only Ohio’s independent agents, but also for the small business community.
