After more than six impactful years in Downtown Columbus, the Ohio Insurance Agents Association (OIA) is embarking on an exciting new chapter: we’re relocating our headquarters to Dublin, Ohio! Our downtown office has served as a vibrant hub—offering close proximity to state legislators, a dynamic setting for hosting industry partners, and a central gathering space for members and staff but downtown Columbus and business operations have changed since the COVID pandemic.
Now, we’re turning the page to a new chapter—one that reflects our evolving needs and long-term vision for the association. This strategic move will strengthen our ability to serve members, invest in the future, and operate with greater agility.
Here’s what’s ahead—and why we’re excited about what this move means for our members and our future.
Investing in the Future & Maximizing Member Value
We’ve purchased our new space in Dublin’s Bridge Park district, one of the fastest-growing areas in Central Ohio. With hundreds of millions of dollars invested in the area over the past decade—and more to come—this location represents a smart, forward-looking investment expected to retain and grow in value. The move from Downtown Columbus will save nearly $50,000 per year in operating expenses and $200,000 over five years, allowing us to keep member dues and service fees affordable while reinvesting in programs that support member success.
In addition, micro-office spaces (15,000 sq. ft. and smaller) have held or even gained value since COVID and investing in a property allows us to diversify our investment portfolio with a safe investment in micro-office space in a growing area in Central Ohio.
Optimizing for Today’s Needs
Our current space exceeds what we truly need. The new headquarters offers 5,000 sq. ft., including a large, member-accessible meeting area for agency gatherings and small educational programs. We’re creating a modern, efficient environment with dedicated staff workstations, additional stations for drop-in members and visitors, and flexible work and meeting spaces designed for hybrid collaboration.
Located just off I-270, our new office is highly accessible and sits next to Bridge Park’s many dining, retail, and entertainment options. We’re also designing the new space with a focus on hybrid work—equipped with modern meeting technology to support in-person, virtual, and blended meetings.
What This Means for OIA Members
While it’s bittersweet to leave a space that has brought together our dedicated staff, valued members, volunteer leaders, and industry partners, we’re confident this move positions OIA for greater impact in the years ahead. We sincerely thank the OIA Board of Directors and the Finance & Budget Committee for their thoughtful leadership and stewardship throughout this process.
We’re excited to share that our new office will be located at 4266 Tuller Rd, Dublin, OH 43017. It’s not quite time for a welcome party just yet as we continue preparing the space—but we’ll keep you posted. We can’t wait to open our doors and welcome you to our new home in Dublin!
