With centuries of combined experience supporting Ohio’s insurance professionals, the Greater Cincinnati Insurance Board (GCIB) and the Ohio Insurance Agents Association (OIA) have partnered to launch a new property and casualty insurance pre-licensing course designed for modern learners.
Starting May 19–23, 2025, OIA will pilot this hybrid pre-licensing program that blends convenience and instruction: 20 hours of flexible, self-paced online learning paired with 20 hours of engaging live webinar sessions.

The new P&C course offering will combine self-paced study with live webinar instruction, optimizing for the preference in learning.
The course will be 20 hours of self-paced learning which will be completed in the mornings. This will be followed by 20 hours of live, instructor led sessions in the afternoons.

The course will be led by a team of insurance professionals with over 50 years of combined industry experience. Instructors include Chris Kendall, Executive Director of the Greater Cincinnati Insurance Board; Cristie Tillery, Market Access Manager at OIA; and Ashley Fitzsimmons, OIA’s Director of Professional Development.
