Pre-Licensing Education Scholarship Application

Important Disclosures:

• Scholarships will only be available to reimburse for pre-licensing course registration for courses created by or affiliated with OIA. The cost of the hardcopy course workbook and travel expenses are not eligible for reimbursement.
• A scholarship will only be granted if there is an educational component.
• The scholarship is non-transferable and will only be applied to the agent to whom it was awarded and for the purpose it was awarded.
• The scholarship awarded may be less than the amount requested.

Required Application Materials:

1. Completed application
2. Letter from the applicant explaining:
   • Your relevant experience prior to getting licensed
   • Your interest in obtaining your license and what you’d like to achieve with it
3. Nomination letter from the Agency Principal

Scholarship funds are intended to supplement or provide financial support to rising insurance agents who do not receive funds from their employer for professional development and insurance designations. This education scholarship was created to help support smaller agencies looking to invest in their employees in order to grow their agency.
